Brooks is a former 4-star prospect. Brooks, a Detroit native, was the No. 61 overall player in the country for the class of 2021, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal late last month. This past season, he averaged 14.3 minutes per game, making 5 starts. He appeared in 55 total games for Michigan State during his time in East Lansing.

Michigan State is still building its roster for the 2023-24 season. The Spartans have not yet added any players via the transfer portal this cycle, but that could change in the coming weeks.

Michigan State has signed 4 high school prospects in the class of 2023. The class is led by 5-star forward Xavier Booker, who is expected to be an immediate impact player for the Spartans.
