Report: Colorado staffer to follow Mel Tucker to MSU as running backs coach
Another one of Mel Tucker’s assistants from Colorado will follow the head coach to Michigan State, according to a report.
Bruce Feldman of The Athletic tweeted on Monday that Buffaloes staffer Will Peagler is expected to join Tucker in East Lansing as the running backs coach. He served as the running backs coach in Boulder for the first month of the 2019 season.
Peagler went to Colorado from Georgia. Feldman reported that Peagler is “well thought of,” by new Michigan State offensive coordinator Jay Johnson, who is also making the transition from Colorado to Michigan State.

Tucker continues to round out his first coaching staff in East Lansing, adding a healthy mix of former MSU staffers and his assistants at Colorado to the group. With spring practice approaching, the head coach is putting some finishing touches on the staff.
Michigan State finished the 2019 season with a 7-6 record and has set the spring game date for Saturday, April 18.
