A Michigan State staffer is leaving East Lansing for a job at Eastern Michigan.

Eastern Michigan announced on Tuesday that Drew Denisco has been hired as an assistant coach for the Eagles. Denisco had been the video coordinator for the Spartans for the last six seasons.

Prior to his time working under Tom Izzo, Denisco spent three seasons as the video assistant coordinator with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA. He was also a graduate manager and video coordinator at the University of Akron for two seasons.

“Drew is a young upcoming assistant, who has spent time at the college level with Michigan State and in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers,” said head coach Stan Heath. “His experience in video technology, scouting and skill development will add tremendous value to our program.”

Heath is assembling his staff at Eastern Michigan, as he’ll enter his first season as the head coach of the program in 2021-22.
