Just a few days after signing with the Cleveland Browns, LJ Scott has reportedly decided to step away from football and has left the organization.

Dana Balash of WFMJ TV in Youngstown, Ohio reported that Scott has left the Browns and has decided to not play football. Scott had just signed with Cleveland two days ago after going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft.

There was no specific reason given for Scott’s departure or whether his decision to step away from football was temporary or permanent.

During his career at Michigan State, Scott appeared in 43 games for the Spartans, making 23 starts. He finished his career with 2,855 yards and 25 touchdowns on 610 carries. Scott played in just five games in 2018, tallying 264 yards on the ground and 95 receiving yards.

Scott’s best season in East Lansing came in 2016, when he totaled 994 rushing yards and 147 receiving yards and accounted for seven total touchdowns. The following season, the running back recorded 898 rushing yards and 146 receiving yards with nine total touchdowns.
