Report: Michigan State commit suffers major injury, will miss remainder of high school season
Michigan State commit Shannon Blair is out for the season, according to a report.
That’s per 5StarPreps, which is an outlet that covers high school sports in East Tennessee. Blair hails from Knoxville, Tenn.

Blair is a 3-star prospect according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s rated as the No. 790 overall player and the No. 62 athlete in the class of 2022.
Blair plays both receiver and defensive back for his high school team in Knoxville. He reportedly suffered in the injury during Week 1 last weekend.
He committed to Michigan State back in June. He chose the Spartans over offers from Duke, Memphis, Purdue, Virginia, Wake Forest and others.
Blair is one of 19 prospects currently committed to Michigan State in this cycle. Mel Tucker’s class currently ranks No. 19 nationally and No. 5 in the Big Ten according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
