With current Alabama offensive coordinator Mike Locksley becoming the head coach at Maryland, there’s a new vacancy on Nick Saban’s staff heading into next season. According to a report, the Crimson Tide are planning to promote from within.

According to FootballScoop, current quarterbacks coach Dan Enos is expected to take over the reins at offensive coordinator in Tuscaloosa. He would become the fifth offensive coordinator at Alabama since the 2016 season.

Enos is the former head coach at Central Michigan (2010-2014) and has served as an offensive assistant in some capacity on multiple staffs throughout his career. As the head coach of the Chippewas, Enos compiled a 26-36 record and appeared in two bowl games.

In his most recent stop prior to Alabama, Enos was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Arkansas from 2015-2017.

Enos is a former Michigan State quarterback, playing from 1987-1991. He was a graduate assistant with the Spartans from 1991-1993 and returned to East Lansing in 2006, when he coached quarterbacks. From 2007-2009, Enos was the running backs coach on Mark Dantonio’s staff.

Enos joined Saban’s staff at Alabama prior to the start of the 2018 season.
