Former Michigan State RB Kenneth Walker III has suffered a hernia injury at the Seattle Seahawks’ training camp. Brady Henderson of ESPN’s NFL Nation reported on the news from his Twitter account on Tuesday.

Walker did not practice with the team on Tuesday because of the injury. He had 19 yards rushing in the team’s preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday. Walker is now listed as questionable, and Pete Carroll stated that he hopes to have the young rookie back before the season opener.

“Ken’s got a little hernia thing that he’s working on and we’ve got to get through that,” said Carroll. “So I don’t know what to tell you yet, but it’s something that we can attend to and all that. We’ve just got to make sure that he’s OK by the opener is what we’re shooting for.”

There isn’t any other information about the severity of the injury, or how long the recovery will be as of late.
