Seth Greenberg has identified a dark horse to win the NCAA Tournament, and it’s a familiar program in March.

During a segment on ESPN’s “Get Up,” the former Virginia Tech coach and ESPN analyst said Michigan State.

“Tom Izzo is one of the great leaders in college basketball history,” Greenberg said. “He’s also one of the best at preparing a team for the next game. You see his success in the Elite 8 going to the Final Four. He’s 8-2 beating the best coaches in America. He’s got a different team this year, it’s not his most talented team, but he also has great guard play. You need great guard play in the NCAA Tournament. Tyson Walker’s been terrific. AJ Hoggard’s been absolutely terrific. Joey Hauser’s good at scoring. They’re healthy finally, and they’ve got depth in their front court.”

Greenberg reiterated that the Spartans aren’t a favorite, but “they’ve got a shot because of that back court.”

The No. 7-seeded Spartans will take on No. 3 Kansas State at 6:30 p.m. on TBS.
