Running for 103 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, plus adding four receptions for 73 yards and another score, in No. 21 Texas’ 38-18 victory over No. 23 Louisiana-Lafayette Saturday, Longhorn sophomore Bijan Robinson was recognized as the Walter Camp Offensive Player of the Week Sunday.

This was an excellent season debut for Robinson, considered by many one of the most electric players in America, but FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt is among those who feel the weekly honor should have gone to someone else, and the numbers seem to support his viewpoint.

In his first game for Michigan State after transferring from Wake Forest, Kenneth Walker III, a junior, ran for 264 yards and four touchdowns on his 23 carries, more than double his previous career-high of 131 yards.

He also become the first Spartan to rush for four scores in a single game since Edwin Baker against Minnesota on November 6, 2010.

If Walker keeps producing performances like September 4, individual accolades are sure to follow, and Michigan State’s next game seems like a prime opportunity for him to turn in another big day, as the Spartans will welcome the FCS Youngstown State Penguins to East Lansing on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET on BTN.
