Jayden Reed will don the Michigan State helmet 1 more time following the season’s conclusion.

Reed officially accepted his invite Wednesday to the 2023 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. The game will be played at Hancock Whitney Stadium on Feb. 4.

Even in a down year for the Spartans, Reed continues to be a weapon for Payton Thorne and the passing attack. In 10 games, he’s recorded 45 catches for 548 yards and 5 TDs. He currently is leading Michigan State in receptions and ranks 2nd in receiving yards and touchdowns behind Keon Coleman.

Last season, Reed was the x-factor for Mel Tucker’s squad through the air en route to an 11-2 record. He finished with 59 catches for 1,026 yards and 10 TDs while averaging a career-high 17.4 yards per reception. His best game came against Youngstown State when he totaled 4 catches for 181 yards and 2 scores.

Reed is currently 1 of 8 receivers who has accepted their invite to the Senior Bowl. Others include Jonathan Mingo (Ole Miss), Xavier Hutchinson (Iowa St.), Michael Wilson(Stanford), Rashee Rice (SMU), Derius Davis (TCU) and others.
