This stat shows just how good Kenneth Walker III has been through 6 games
Kenneth Walker III is generating buzz as a dark horse for the Heisman Trophy. If No. 10 Michigan State runs the table and he keeps up this level of production, it wouldn’t be shocking for the junior running back to enter the conversation as a finalist.
PFF College tweeted out a stat to further illustrate Walker III’s rapid ascension. Walker has 26 carries of at least 10 yards through the first six weeks of the season, which ties a Division I record.

Walker III has amassed 913 yards and nine touchdowns, with an average of 7.1 yards per carry. The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Walker III was previously at Wake Forest, where he totaled 1,158 yards and 17 touchdowns in his two seasons.
Michigan State will put its undefeated record on the line when they travel to face Indiana in Week 7. The Spartans are coming off a 31-13 victory at Rutgers last weekend. Michigan State at Indiana is slated for Oct. 16 (12 p.m. EST) and will be televised on FS1.
