Michigan State has officially added three graduate transfers to the football roster for the 2022 season.

The school announced the additions of tight end Daniel Barker (Illinois), running back Jarek Broussard (Colorado) and offensive lineman Brian Greene (Washington State) to the roster. All three are enrolled in classes at Michigan State.

All three are graduate transfers for the Spartans.

Mel Tucker’s approach to the transfer portal proved to be effective during the 2021 season, taking the Spartans from a 2-5 mark in 2020 to 11-2 last fall. Because of that success, MSU has continued to add pieces to the roster via transfer.

Barker comes to Michigan State from Illinois where he had a stellar career. Over his four years with the program, the tight end totaled 64 receptions for 827 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Broussard rushed for 661 yards and 2 touchdowns on 142 carries at Colorado during the 2021 season. He enjoyed a great year in 2020 when he piled up 895 yards and 5 touchdowns while averaging 5.7 yards per carry.

Greene appeared in 30 career games at Washington State, making 10 starts. He started out as a walk-on before earning a scholarship with the Cougars.

All three graduate transfers are expected to make an impact for the Spartans during the 2022 season.
