Joey Hauser has a decision to make this offseason.

After getting his college career started with a season at Marquette, Hauser transferred to Michigan State and sat out the 2019-20 season. He has since appeared in 63 games over the past two seasons for the Spartans and went through Senior Day festivities this past season.

Though Hauser has completed four seasons in college, he has the option to come back for a fifth and final season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During a Wednesday interview with David G. Demarco of The Game 730 AM, head coach Tom Izzo discussed Hauser’s plans.

According to Izzo, Hauser is still in the process of mulling all his options but is getting close to a decision. Izzo also added a note that Malik Hall might be moving positions in the offseason.

Hauser has averaged 8.3 points per game over the past two seasons for the Spartans and has started 45 games in that span. He added 5.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 45% from the floor.

Michigan State already knows Marcus Bingham Jr. and Max Christie are going through the NBA Draft process.
