Tom Izzo sets target date for Malik Hall’s return

Tom Izzo and Michigan State have been playing without Malik Hall since the end of November. Hopefully, Hall is able to rejoin the lineup sooner as opposed to later.
Hall has been sidelined after sustaining a stress reaction in his foot. That injury was expected to sideline the Spartan star for about 3 weeks, but he is not quite ready for a return to action.
Fortunately, Izzo announced Monday that Hall has returned to workouts but did confirm the senior will not play Wednesday against Oakland. For now, Izzo is targeting a Dec. 30 game against Buffalo for Hall’s return.

In 4 games (all starts) this season, Hall was fourth on the Spartans while averaging 12 points per game and shooting 38% from the floor. Hall also averages 5.3 rebounds and an assist as a key performer for Michigan State.
