Tom Izzo let his frustrations out on a clipboard during a heated exchange on the sideline as Michigan State took on USC in the NCAA Tournament on Friday afternoon.

The Spartans led 51-47 at the time, 11:30 remaining in the first half, as the Trojans went to the foul line. After Michigan State had an 11-point lead in the first half, USC forced a tie by halftime.

Izzo is often one of the most animated coaches on the sideline, and freely lets his candid comments be known throughout his Hall of Fame career.

The Spartans built the lead back up to 9 early in the second half. They were shooting 49% by the under 8-minute timeout, and also had 3 players in double figures.

However, it’s unclear how many extra clipboards the Spartans packed for the trip to Columbus, Ohio.
