Tom Izzo 'ticked off' with Michigan State's recent play in consecutive losses
Michigan State heads into a Saturday matchup with Indiana coming off its first losing streak of the season.
After a hard-fought road win vs. Maryland, the Spartans suffered an upset on the road against Rutgers. It was a game where Michigan State looked outmatched from the start as the Scarlet Knights rolled to an 84-63 win.
In the ensuing game, Michigan State played better against Wisconsin but fell at home 70-62. It was the first time this season that the Spartans lost back-to-back games and dropped them out of a tie for first place in the conference at 8-4.
As Michigan State prepares for the weekend matchup against the Hoosiers, Tom Izzo addressed the recent play during Thursday night press conference. Izzo admitted to being “ticked off” about the recent play while harping on “effort-related losses.”
Tom Izzo at the podium says rewatching the MSU loss to Wisconsin “didn’t look any better on film” than it did live.
