Tom Izzo was not content with his team’s 21-point win over Buffalo on Friday night.

Some people saw that win and felt that the Spartans were headed in the right direction. Izzo believed that his team needed to improve in a few areas. After the game, Izzo focused on what his team will need to work on (Via Detroit Free Press):

“I think we’re going to be a better team,” Izzo said. “We got to get better quick, though. I look at this and I say, ‘We won by 21. What the hell’s wrong with you?’ And yet I think when I watch the film, I’m going to feel worse rather than better, because I didn’t like the little things we did. So we’ll get to work on those.”

With Friday’s win, Michigan State moved to 9-4 on the season. Michigan State re-enters conference play on a 4-game winning streak. Michigan State was 5-4 through the first 9 games of the season. The Spartans closed out the non-conference slate in a strong manner.

In the win over Buffalo, Michigan State forward Joey Hauser led the team with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists. Hauser was 1 of 4 players to score double figures for the Spartans.

Michigan State will take on Nebraska on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET on BTN.
