It did not take long for the Michigan State Spartans to score in their home opener.

QB Payton Thorne hit WR Jayden Reed on a 75-yard touchdown trick play with a flea-flicker.

Last week the Spartans scored on the first play of the game as well as RB Kenneth Walker III had a 75-yard rushing touchdown for the Spartans.

The Spartans opened the season with a 38-21 win against the Northwestern Wildcats.

Reed is a transfer from Western Michigan and, in two seasons with the Spartans, has 38 receptions for 471 yards on 12.4 yards per reception with 3 touchdowns.

Reed also has 7 rushing attempts for 29 yards on 4.1 yards per carry.

Michigan State heads to South Beach next weekend to play the No. 22 Miami Hurricanes.
