Tunmise Adeleye started his career as a member of Texas A&M’s 2021 recruiting class. Now, Adeleye is on his way to the B1G via a transfer to East Lansing.

With Early Signing Period kicking off, Adeleye announced his commitment to Michigan State via social media. Adeleye brings with him four years of eligibility.

Originally a 4-star prospect and the No. 39 overall prospect in the country for the class of 2021, the 247 Sports transfer portal rankings gave Adeleye a 4-star transfer rating. Though he saw limited action with the Aggies and recorded 6 tackles, he maintains the physical makeup to be an impact defender for the Spartans.

During his Wednesday press conference, head coach Mel Tucker praised Adeleye as a defender who comes in “ready to play.” With the defense a dark spot for the Spartans the last two seasons, we’ll see if Adeleye can help turn the unit around in 2023.

We’ll see how the rest of the 2023 recruiting and transfer class shapes up for the Spartans.
