Upset brewing in South Beach: TD strike from Payton Thorne to Jayden Reed increases MSU's lead on Miami
Just when the momentum was slipping away from the Michigan State Spartans that including an ejection of freshman cornerback Charles Brantley, they found a way to swing the momentum back their way.
On the following play, senior defensive end Drew Breesley forced a fumble on Miami quarterback D’Eri King that was recovered by defensive end Jacub Panasiuk at the Miami 13-yard line.

Three plays into the drive, Michigan State quarterback Payton Thorne found wide receiver Jayden Reed for a 10-yard touchdown pass. This touchdown play from Thorne to Reed put Michigan State up 24-14.
