Michigan State opens its 2018 season a week from now, squaring off against Utah State next Friday.

It’s no surprise that the Spartans are the heavy betting favorite in the matchup.

According to Vegas Insider, Michigan State is a 23-point favorite against Utah State in the season opener, which kicks off at 7 p.m. in East Lansing. This will be the first matchup between the two programs.

Michigan State went 10-3 a season ago and is expected to compete for a B1G title this season. Utah State finished the year 6-7 in 2017 and was picked to finish in the middle of the Mountain West Conference.

The Spartans return 19 starters from last season while the Aggies return 18.
