Michigan State-Western Michigan may be a rivalry game in a sense, but we all know that the Spartans look at the Michigan Wolverines as their main rival.
In this Week 2 matchup against the Broncos, though, the Spartans certainly haven’t looked past their in-state counterpart. By the end of the first quarter, Michigan State owned a 21-0 lead.
The play that made it a three-score game came on a 42-yard passing score from QB Brian Lewerke to WR Darrell Stewart Jr.

The throw and catch almost looked to be too easy, as Stewart was wide open. The pass-catcher made the defender miss with a bit of a stiff arm to end the play, though.
Michigan State is flexing its muscles early. The game can be seen on BTN.
