WATCH: Michigan State ends first half with incredible sequence
Michigan State knows how to end a half in impressive fashion.
Sunday, the Spartans were hosting Wisconsin-Green Bay for a non-conference matchup in East Lansing. Michigan State wasn’t having much trouble in the game, holding onto a 59-35 lead as the first half was coming to a close.
The Spartans weren’t satisfied with the 24-point advantage entering half, though.
With time expiring, Cassius Winston put a move on his defender, clearing a driving lane to the basket. He was able to find the cup with :03 left. But the Spartans weren’t done there. Xavier Tillman stole the ensuing inbounds pass and fired up a three pointer as time expired, with the ball finding the bottom of the net.
Michigan State took a 64-35 advantage into the half.

Michigan State already had a ton of confidence headed into the locker room, and that sequence essentially ended Wisconsin-Green Bay’s hopes at mounting a comeback.
After Sunday’s game, the Spartans have just two non-conference games remaining on the schedule: vs. Oakland and vs. Northern Illinois.
The Spartans were 8-2 entering Saturday’s matchup.
