Talk about being in the right place at the right time.

Midway through the first quarter of the B1G opener between Michigan State and Indiana, Spartans defensive back Shakur Brown just happened to be “Johnny on the spot” on a Hoosier pass play. The pass from Peyton Ramsey was just a touch out of reach and was deflected by running back Stevie Scott.

But the ball hung in the air a little too long, allowing Brown to run underneath the football. He then turned that interception into a touchdown.

The score gave Michigan State an early 14-0 lead in Bloomington. It was also the first pick-six of Brown’s career.

Michigan State entered the contest 2-1, having lost their previous matchup to Arizona State. Last Saturday, the Spartans were on a bye week.

Indiana is 3-0.
