All attention is on the Peach Bowl for Michigan State.
After finishing off a 10-2 season in 2021, which included a win over in-state rival Michigan, the Spartans are looking to make a statement in a New Year’s Six bowl matchup against Pitt. The two teams will meet in Atlanta on Dec. 30, with the Peach Bowl title at stake.
Both Michigan State and Pitt have ventured down to Atlanta for Thursday’s bowl game and are participating in plenty of team-related festivities. On Sunday, head coach Mel Tucker had the chance to talk with reporters about the upcoming matchup.
Tucker talked about coaches leaving, players opting out and the matchup against Pitt on Sunday. Here’s what the second-year head coach of Michigan State had to say just a few days prior to the Peach Bowl:
Mel Tucker at virtual podium to preview the Peach Bowl. Says MSU needs to “compartmentalize our time” in preparing these next few days.
