Xavier Booker is one of the top overall basketball prospects in the country for the class of 2023. He’s also on his way to the B1G.

On Saturday, the 6-foot-11 prospect announced his commitment to Michigan State. He joins 4-star point guard Jeremy Fears in the 2023 recruiting class as a nice 1-2 punch for the Spartans.

Booker is currently rated a 4-star prospect and the No. 58 player in the country for the class of 2023 by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, but that number is likely to rise in the future. 247 Sports rates him as a 5-star prospect and the No. 3 player for the cycle.

Michigan State is hoping for even more good news on the recruiting trail in the near future. Devin Royal – a 4-star small forward out of Ohio – kept the Spartans on his top 3 Friday.

With Fears and Booker already on board, adding Royal would give Tom Izzo an ultra-elite class for 2023.
