Xavier Tillman is having a productive rookie season in the NBA, and he turned in a highlight-reel dunk Sunday afternoon.

Taking on the Portland Trailblazers, Tillman and the Memphis Grizzlies were looking to improve to 31-28 on the year. That mark has the team fighting for a spot to make the playoffs in the Western Conference.

During Sunday’s action, Tillman provided some minutes off the bench that produced one massive dunk. After cutting toward the basket, he took a pass and went up, over, and through a Portland defender for the jam.

That is Tillman’s only basket with the game in the closing seconds, but he added four rebounds and a block in 18 minutes played.

Tillman has proven to be an effective bench piece for the Grizzlies this season and has elevated his game in April. He is averaging 9.0 points per game while scoring in double digits six times and is shooting 62.5% from the floor for the month.

Entering Sunday, Tillman has appeared in 48 games this season and is averaging 6.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists while shooting 55% from the floor and 32.1% from three-point range. It is nice to see the former Spartan carving out a solid role for himself in the NBA.
