On Monday night, suspended Minnesota defensive end Tamarion Johnson announced that he was transferring to Arizona Western Community College.

On Tuesday afternoon, Minnesota defensive back¬†Ray Buford Jr. announced that he’ll do the same.

Buford and Johnson will both leave Minnesota after the university’s disciplinary panel upheld their expulsions¬†for their roles in an alleged Sept. 2 sexual assault.

Here was part of Buford’s statement on Twitter:

“Minnesota will forever be the greatest decision of my life. Despite everything that has unfolded, I have managed to make friendships and relationship that will last a lifetime. I have brothers that will back and support me through anything. But I think it’s safe to say that my time here is over and done. … Thank you to all my coaches, teammates and friends here in Minnesota. I will never forget you.”

Buford played in seven games and had 16 tackles and three pass breakups as a redshirt freshman in 2016.

Defensive backs KiAnte Hardin and Dior Johnson are also facing expulsion from the university. It’s unknown if they’ll be transferring from Minnesota, as well.
