The Minnesota Golden Gophers are on the board first versus the Nebraska Cornhuskers in their first drive of the game. Minnesota took a long 14-play, 61-yard drive that took seven minutes and 42 seconds off the clock.

On 4th-and-1 at the Nebraska 5-yard line, Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck took a risk to go for the touchdown. They inserted their short-yardage quarterback in redshirt sophomore Cole Kramer to potentially throw off the Nebraska defense.

Minnesota pulled a play-action pass where Kramer was able to connect with a wide-open redshirt junior tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford for a five-yard touchdown. This was the first collegiate touchdown pass for Kramer.

Minnesota is currently up 7-3 near the end of the first quarter as they look to wear down the defense of Nebraska. They are looking to do so with several different players to utilize different schemes.
