College GameDay made its first visit to the University of Minnesota on Saturday, and the trip paid off for the popular pregame show and ESPN.
According ESPN PR, Rivalry Week generated season-high numbers for College GameDay. The show saw 2.9 million viewers for the 11 a.m. time slotm the highest total for the final hour of the show, the highest of any pregame show. There were also 2.28 million tuned in for the duration of the show, the highest total of the year.

College GameDay was at Minnesota for the showdown between the Gophers and Wisconsin, with Paul Bunyan’s Axe and the B1G West title on the line. The Badgers defeated the Gophers 38-17.
Both Minnesota and Wisconsin finished the season 10-2.
