'Everybody Poops': Yes, that's seriously the book P.J. Fleck read to Minnesota before Saturday's game vs. Illinois

Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck has certainly garnered a reputation for some quirky coaching strategies. That was fully put on display this weekend.

In his postgame press conference following the Gophers’ blowout win over Illinois, Fleck revealed that the team has got a reading from a certain book.

Fleck said that he read the book "Everybody Poops" at last night's team meeting because the team hasn't been playing well.

"It was a very unique team meeting," Fleck said with a smile. #Gophers

You did read that correctly. Everybody Poops. I don’t even know what to say.

But, after an 0-2 start, it kind of makes sense. After all, Minnesota’s defense has kind of been compared to a pile of….well, nevermind. You get the picture.

You have to think there is some sort of rhyme or reason to this. How do we not get a follow up question about that? But, whatever the reason, it worked on Saturday. Minnesota defeated Illinois for its first win of the 2020 season.

We can’t wait to hear what book Fleck breaks out next weekend.
