Former Minnesota forward Jarvis Omersa has announced he will be transferring to St. Thomas.

Omersa made that announcement on his Instagram account on Sunday afternoon:

Omersa is one of numerous Minnesota players who have departed the program this offseason, including Marcus Carr and Jamal Mashburn Jr.

New coach Ben Johnson has been aggressive in the transfer portal, already earning commitments from six transfers.

Omersa played in just seven games for the Gophers last season. Over a three-year career with Minnesota, he played in a total of 64 games and earned one start. He averaged 9.9 minutes and 1.5 points per contest.

His best career game for Minnesota came on Nov. 24, 2019. He produced 11 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals in a win over North Dakota.

Minnesota went 14-15 overall and 6-14 in the Big Ten during the 2020-21 campaign.
