Former Minnesota running back Kobe McCrary didn’t have to travel far to find a home in the NFL.

On Monday afternoon, the Minnesota Vikings announced that former Gopher Kobe McCrary had been signed. He joins the team as an undrafted free agent.

McCrary spent rookie minicamp with the Viking on a tryout basis.

In 2017, McCrary was the second-leading rusher for the Golden Gophers, amassing 496 yards and eight touchdowns while playing in all 12 games.

McCrary was at Minnesota for two seasons, totaling 738 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. He also caught six passes for 44 yards.
