Former Minnesota DB Benjamin St-Juste drawing rave reviews at Senior Bowl
Former Minnesota defensive back Benjamin St-Juste is taking advantage of his opportunity at the Senior Bowl.
The former Golden Gopher has earned great reviews all week long, but the praise seems to have peaked during the Senior Bowl.
This play was arguably his best of the day:He’s
Highlight: #Gophers Benjamin St-Juste's pass break up in Senior Bowl on Saturday. Rangy 6-foot-3 cornerback with suffocating press coverage to deny slant.
Sounds like he’s improved his draft stock this week, including NFL Network commentator on how he might play safety in NFL. pic.twitter.com/Bd7OoJDIGk

Here’s another play where he broke up a deep ball from Texas A&M’s Kellen Mond:

St-Juste showed off a lot of potential in 2019 as a junior. He recorded 45 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and 10 pass deflections. NFL scouts seem to be impressed with his combination of size, length and agility.
Here’s a few more reviews from his Senior Bowl performance:
senior bowl halftime report:
•love what i saw from creed humphrey and benjamin st juste
•jabril cox is a great lb, early 2nd
•michael carter can be a nice back up/home run threat
•wr’s dez fitzpatrick & amari rodgers have been great, wanna see more— Kyletheog_15 (@Kyletheog_15) January 30, 2021
Washington CB Keith Taylor, Minnesota CB Benjamin St. Juste, Pitt's Rashad Weaver, Northern Iowa's Elerson Smith, Ohio State LB Baron Browning, Auburn LB KJ Britt, and Louisville WR Dez Fitzpatrick stood out to me in the first half of the Senior Bowl.

That's why length matters. Minnesota CB Benjamin St.-Juste measured in at 6033 with 3300 arms. PBU. #SeniorBowl @BearsBarroom @DraftTap

So tough to evaluate the WRs when Kellen Mond is throwing the ball. As I typed this, he put a beauty of a ball downfield.
Benjamin St. Juste has been impressive. 2 PBUs.
Amari Rodgers doing what he does best – being a very average gadget player and losing yards.

St-Juste started his career at Michigan, but transferred after the 2017 season. He’s originally from Montreal.
The NFL draft is set for April 29-May 1.
