Minnesota fans have speculated for a week about who College GameDay would selected to be the celebrity guest picker for the pregame show’s first trip to the Twin Cities this weekend. That announcement has finally been made.

College GameDay host Rece Davis confirmed that former Golden Gophers wide receiver Eric Decker will be the guest picker on Saturday for the popular pregame show. Zach Halverson of KFAN had the video of Davis confirming the celebrity guest.

Decker is remembered as one of the top receivers in Minnesota history. In four seasons (2006-09) with the Gophers, Decker totaled 227 receptions for 3,119 yards and 24 touchdowns. His best season came in 2008, totaling 84 catches for 1,074 yards and seven touchdowns.

His career yardage total is the most in Minnesota history.

Decker was a third-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, selected by the Denver Broncos. He played with the Broncos from 2010-13, New York Jets from 2014-16 and Tennessee Titans in 2017. He totaled 439 catches for 5,816 yards and 54 total touchdowns in his professional career.

College GameDay will be in Minneapolis on Saturday to preview Saturday’s game between No. 12 Wisconsin (9-2) vs. No. 8 Minnesota (10-1). The winner claims Paul Bunyan’s Axe and the B1G West title.
