A former Minnesota linebacker has signed an NFL contract, according to reports.

Monday, ex-Golden Gopher Jonathan Celestin signed with the Atlanta Falcons after being an undrafted free agent. He made a statement via Twitter:

Celestin started all 12 games for Minnesota last season, recording 78 tackles, 5.5 stops for loss and a pick-six. He totaled 217 tackles and 19.5 stops for loss in four seasons with the Gophers.

Celestin is a Georgia native, growing up in Jonesboro. Signing with the Falcons serves as a bit of a homecoming for the former B1G star.
