Tough news from the Baltimore Ravens training camp today as their 2021 first-round draft pick was injured in practice this morning.

Rashod Bateman, the Ravens wide receiver, was injured in practice this morning, running a routine slant route. He reportedly had a limp as he went back into the building.

Bateman was the 27th overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft this past April. Bateman had an impressive three-year career with the Golden Gophers from 2018-2020. He racked up 147 receptions, 2,395 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Bateman and former Golden Gopher WR Tyler Johnson, who now plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, formed quite the duo in 2019 as they helped the Gophers to an 11-2 record overall and a 7-2 record in B1G play.

This season, Bateman will be playing alongside Marquise Brown and Sammy Watkins as the Ravens look to bolster their receiving corps.

The Ravens open the season at the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, Sept. 14, at 8:15 ET on ESPN.
