The thought surrounding the hiring of Tracy Claeys was that he would keep Jerry Kill’s staff and recruiting class in place.

But that hasn’t been the case in the last few days.

On Sunday, Claeys fired offensive coordinator Matt Linegrover and passing game coordinator Jim Zebrowski. On Monday, 2016 quarterback recruit Tony Poljan decommitted because of those moves.

And on Tuesday, four-star offensive tackle recruit Sean Foster announced his decommitment via Twtter. The changing coaching staff, he said, was the biggest reason for his change of heart.

The 6-8, 285-pound Mundelein, Illinois native was the second-highest rated recruit in Claeys’ 2016 class. He originally committed to the Gophers back in April, but hadn’t taken an official visit to the Twin Cities.

Foster could, however wind up at other B1G school.

He has offers from Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska, Purdue and Rutgers. He’s also taken unofficial visits to Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State and Wisconsin.
