Minnesota defensive tackle Noah Hickcox has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. Ryan Burns of 247Sports was the first to report the news on Wednesday morning.

Hickcox has spent the last four seasons with the Golden Gophers and has appeared in 26 games throughout his career. He played in all seven games for Minnesota during the 2020 campaign on defense and special teams and was credited with making 3 tackles on the year.

Per his player profile on GopherSports.com, Hickcox is a two-time Academic All-B1G selection.

Hickcox redshirted during the 2017 season and started making appearances on the field as a redshirt freshman in 2018. He appeared in seven contests that season, making 2 tackles.

In 2019, Hickcox played in all 13 games for the Gophers, where he was credited with 2 more tackles on the year. He leaves Minnesota with 7 total tackles, 3 of which were solo stops. Thanks to the NCAA’s blanket waiver for all fall student-athletes this year, the DT will have two years of eligibility left at his next stop.

Minnesota finished the 2020 season with a 3-4 record.
