The spring football season has come to a close in Minneapolis. It ended in dramatic fashion, too.

Saturday afternoon, Minnesota held its annual spring game, though there was a location change for this year’s event. Due to weather, the Gophers had to move the event to the indoor practice facility, limiting the number of fans able to attend.

There were plenty of big moments throughout the course of the game. We witnessed some big touchdown passes, one-handed catches and some clutch plays as the game was forced into overtime before the Maroon Team claimed victory.

Minnesota is coming off a 9-4 campaign in 2021 and is looking to build on that success and contend for a B1G West title again this season. There’s still some work to be done, but we were able to catch our first glimpse of the 2022 Golden Gophers.

Here are some of the highlights from Saturday’s spring game:
