It only took one half for Mohamed Ibrahim to hit the 100-yard mark again
Mohamed Ibrahim has put together an outstanding rushing streak and it’s still going. The Minnesota running back extended his program record streak of 100-plus yard outings to nine consecutive games during the season opener vs. Ohio State.
Ibrahim began the streak in the 2019 Outback Bowl, and he rushed for 100-plus yards in all seven games during the shortened 2020 season.
Ibrahim rushed for 1,076 yards and 15 touchdowns last season. Ibrahim set a program record with back-to-back games in 2020 of over 200 yards: 207 at Maryland and 224 at Illinois.
In 2019, Ibrahim amassed 604 yards and seven touchdowns. During his first season at Minnesota in 2018, Ibrahim totaled 1,160 yards and nine touchdowns.
Ibrahim also set program record in rushing yards per game (153.7 in 2020) and tied a record for most rushing touchdowns in one half (four at Maryland in 2020).
Ibrahim was selected as a AP Third-Team All-America member, B1G Running Back of the Year, and All-B1G First Team member in 2020.
