Jamison Battle has hit the transfer portal after two seasons at Minnesota. While Battle is likely not going to be short on options in the portal, he could stick in the B1G with his next move.

According to Travis Branham with 247 Sports, at least 4 B1G programs are in direct contact with Battle. Ohio State, Indiana, Nebraska and Illinois are teams Battle has reportedly had direct contact with.

Xavier, Clemson, Oklahoma, Iowa State, Utah, LSU, Santa Clara, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Butler and Villanova are also in contact.

Battle was second for the Gophers with 12.4 points per game last season. However, he averaged 15.1 points per game across 56 starts in 2 seasons for Minnesota.

For his 4-year career, Battle has career averages of 14.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1 assist and is a career 35% shooter from 3-point range. He also shoots 42% from the floor and 79% from the free-throw line.

Potential fits for Battle

With a 6-foot-7 frame, versatile scoring ability and an effective southpaw shooting stroke, Battle will be a fit for almost any program. It will be interesting to see which program rises to the top if he is indeed interested in staying in the B1G.
