Justin Walley is proving to be one of the better defensive backs in the B1G. Sean Clifford tested him early in Week 8, and Walley made the veteran quarterback pay.

Early in the game between Minnesota and Penn State, Clifford tried to take a deep shot downfield. Clifford’s aim was off with the throw drifting to the wrong side of his receiver and right into Walley’s coverage.

The pick was an easy one, and Walley capitalized on it by rolling all the way back and deep into Penn State coverage.

Unfortunately, that drive by the Gophers would stall out in the red zone, but Minnesota was still able to convert with a field goal for the early 3-0 lead.
