Tanner Morgan’s game against Purdue was one to remember, and Minnesota OC Kirk Ciarrocca had plenty of good things to say about it on Wednesday.

Morgan was nearly flawless in the 38-31 win over the Boilermakers, and that is not hyperbole. He missed one pass while going 21-for-22 with 396 yards and 4 TDs.

Ciarrocca was asked about Morgan’s impressive outing Wednesday. He particularly highlighted Morgan’s confidence and decisiveness, but he also gave praise to the rest of the offense. Ciarrocca pointed out that a QB cannot go 21-for-22 on his own.

Ryan Burns with Gopher Illustrated shared the transcript from Ciarrocca’s press conference:

“I thought he ate everything on his plate,” said Ciarrocca.

“Tanner was very confident and very decisive back there. The wideouts made some plays for him and helps get them in a groove. You don’t go 21/22 without everybody. Wideouts running the routes and attacking the football and being violent with the ball, the offensive line protected, and it’s everybody.”

Hopefully, Morgan has more performances like that in store for the future. The Gophers take on Illinois at home this Saturday.
