LOOK: Minnesota shows off Week 1 helmets prior to kickoff

Minnesota wanted to give its fans a little preview of the uniform combination it will sport during Thursday’s opener against Buffalo.
What stood out most, though, was the new-look helmets the Gophers will don. From a distance, it looks like the same lid the team has worn for decades. But take a closer look, and you’ll notice the phrases “Row The Boat” and “Ski U Mah” inside the middle stripe.
The team’s official Twitter page highlighted the new look.

The two phrases have become synonymous with Minnesota football, at least in the brief time that P.J. Fleck has been in town.
This probably won’t be the only time we see “Row The Boat” make its way onto Minnesota’s uniform.
