Markus Allen, former Wisconsin Badger, has made his decision to become a Minnesota Golden Badger. Allen is a young a wide receiver who played for Wisconsin for the past two seasons.

He was a 4-star recruit out of Ohio coming out of high school and played two games for the Badgers last season recording 3 catches for 65 yards. After being red-shirted in 2021, Allen played 6 games this season for the Badgers.

He joined the portal in October after Paul Chryst was fired and decided to take a visit to rival Minnesota. Due to the head-coaching change provision, Allen entered the portal before the window in December.

Allen still has 3 years of eligibility left and will add talent to the Golden Gopher’s offense. The announcement comes after Minnesota won this weekend against the Badgers in a 23-16 finish.

The Gopher’s offense ranks among the more average teams this year and will look to use Allen’s talents to add a level of dynamic play in the passing attack.
