Minnesota is coming off a 30-0 thrashing of the Colorado Buffaloes Saturday afternoon.

A lot of Gophers made the trip to scenic Boulder, CO., to watch their team play. Colorado fans were impressed by the turnout from the Gopher fans.

That is quite the compliment from a Colorado fan to be compared to the fanbase of Nebraska, which is notorious for traveling to away games and making opposing stadiums look like a sea of red.

The Gopher fans are hoping P.J. Fleck can recreate some of that 2019 magic when the team went 11-2 on the year. It will be much more challenging now after 2020 B1G Running back of the Year Mohamed Ibrahim got injured in week 1 and is out for the season.

Treyson Potts has come in for Ibrahim and has been a solid replacement so far. He has 70 carries for 333 yards and 5 touchdowns, 3 of which came on Saturday vs. the Buffaloes.

The Gophers are off to a 2-1 (0-1 B1G) start with wins over Miami (OH) and Colorado. Their lone loss was against the ninth-ranked Ohio State.

Minnesota has one more non-conference game against Bowling Green at noon ET on ESPNU; before they fully dive into B1G play.
