Minnesota is adding a defensive back via transfer.
This week, former Western Kentucky cornerback Beanie Bishop announced that he’ll be transferring to Minnesota. He spent 4 seasons with the Hilltoppers before deciding to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
Bishop made the announcement with a post on Twitter on Wednesday night.

Last season, Bishop was credited 43 tackles, including 6.5 for loss. He also 4 pass break-ups and 3 interceptions for the Hilltoppers. He was a first-team All-C-USA selection after a standout year.
Bishop will add great depth to a Minnesota secondary that will be losing multiple key pieces. He will have two years of eligibility left with the Gophers.
