Minnesota continues hot start with beautiful screen-pass TD to Chris Autman-Bell
Minnesota is firing on all cylinders in the first quarter against Penn State!
The Golden Gophers and Nittany Lions are not playing around with both teams putting points on the board early. Minnesota opened the scoring with a long touchdown to Rashod Bateman, but Penn State answered quickly with a long run by Journey Brown.
Now, it was Minnesota’s time to answer in a big way. The Gophers put together a long, well-balanced drive that picked up lots of yardage and went all the way inside Penn State’s red zone.
From there, Tanner Morgan connected with Chris Autman-Bell on a beautifully executed screen play. The blocking gave Autman-Bell a path to the open field, and he put the finishing touches on the play with impressive running and a nice stiff-arm.
His nice score put Minnesota back on top early, 14-7:
