Minnesota continues to roll to a top-20 recruiting class under P.J. Fleck, and the Gophers picked up another commitment Sunday evening.

This time, the commitment comes from Latreveon McCutchin, a 3-star linebacker out of Austin, Texas. McCutchin held other offers from UTSA, SMU, Texas State and Utah State, among others.

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 203 lbs., McCutchin is rated as the No. 69 LB nationally by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He becomes the 12th commitment for Minnesota in the class of 2023.

Early Sunday, the Gophers also landed a commitment from 3-star OL De’Eric Mister. Mister is a 6-foot-7, 300 lb. lineman out of Gary, Indiana.

Minnesota’s 2023 recruiting class continues its trend toward a top-20 recruiting class. The Gophers currently rank No. 17 on the team rankings with that class headlined by 4-star IOL Jerome Williams, the No. 2 prospect out of Minnesota.

Fleck and his staff continue to roll after a 9-win season and Guaranteed Rate Bowl win in 2021.
